Established in 1991, MILLER GmbH & Co. KG is a specialist in rotatory solid carbide tools and has been part of the MAPAL Group as the Centre of Competence for Solid Carbide Tools since 2003. In line with strong growth, the location at Altenstadt in the Iller valley has been continually expanded. Today, one of Europe’s most cutting-edge machine parks for the development, production and storage of high-performance drills and milling cutters covers an area of 15,000 m2.
Our product range largely comprises standard products that are immediately available to you from stock thanks to our modern logistics centre. In addition, we have many years of experience in the design and production of custom special tools.
We offer our 490 employees long-term prospects and secure jobs in production, logistics, sales and administration. The training of skilled junior employees plays an important role. This is demonstrated by the high number of apprentices in Altenstadt: around 7 percent of our employees are apprentices.
Frank Rieber, who has a degree in business economics, assumed responsibility for the area of production on 1 March 2019. Today, he leads all business areas. Frank Rieber has worked for the MAPAL Group since 2005 and was previously responsible for production at the MAPAL Centre of Competence for multi-bladed reamers in Winterlingen as the managing director for technology.
As a MAPAL Group company, we act in accordance with the defined integrated management policy.
